Buster Sword, Final Fantasy VII Remake
Partnering with our Chandra Chocobo activation for Magic: The Gathering at PAX, the MTG x FF booth had a special photobooth section where convention attendees could pose in front of a backdrop from Final Fantasy VII. On offer to pose with was our 1:1 scale replica of Cloud’s iconic Buster Sword!
We constructed our replica to withstand the rigors of thousands of convention attendees handling the sword over a 4 day event. Internally, there’s a welded aluminum frame for durability while keeping the six-foot-tall weapon as light as possible. Exterior foam construction means no chance of the piece getting cracked or damaged from the inevitable drop that would occur. The handle is wrapped in genuine leather, and the crossguard hides an internal battery pack for illuminating the materia orbs.
This replica ended up being such a hit at the convention that Square Enix reached out to us afterward to fabricate a copy for their own events!
