Teamfight Tactics Vegas Open Wrestling Belt
The Teamfight Tactics Las Vegas Open had a unique tournament format; 500 open seats available to anyone who wanted to apply. One Champion would emerge the victor, and the TFT team wanted the award to reflect both the spirit of the event as well as Las Vegas itself. Only one item would do: an over-the-top wrestling belt!
The belt we created is massive: nearly a foot tall, made up of six layers of embossed and hand-dyed leather, and decorated with chrome medallions showcasing TFT and Las Vegas elements. CnC machined stamping dyes were made to adorn the leather with spatulas and palm trees. Teamfight’s iconic six portals and hexagonal shape language are font and center in the main medallion, while DJ Sona and a Las Vegas styled Pengu bookend the design on either side. Candy clearcoat was used to tie the medallion design into the event branding, leaning heavily on a yellow/purple gradient. The belt has a series of 20 snaps on the back side to fit a range of waist diameters so the eventual winner could hold it aloft then wear it out around Vegas!
